"Pure bliss in a pod --" 2008-06-10

-- better yet, 96 pods of caffeine bliss. This variety is great. All I've tried so far were full-flavored and not bitter at all. I have an old Starbuck's Barista expresso-maker that these work well in. Like a previous reviewer, I had only tried the Illy pods before -- okay, but not great.
If you love variety and great-flavored espresso/cappuccinos, you will want to try these.

After years of nothing but Illy pods -- which are very good -- it was nice to branch out and try some other brands. The variety pack is a fun way to do that. I give it 5 stars because it is as advertised. The coffees are good - some are better than others, you'll find your favorites - and it is also nice to have a variety of decafs in the house.
Illy is still a staple, though.

I used to buy pods at Starbucks, but I started longing for something a little more authentic. Luckily, my fiancee bought me the PodMerchant Megasampler as a Christmas present. I was overwhelmed!
I never knew there were so many different kinds of espresso pods available, especially from one store. The selection in this sampler is huge, and it includes both caffeinated and decaf pods. (There is also the Super Sampler but it doesn't include decaf, which is nice sometimes in the evening).
After trying these pods we found which espressos we liked best and have been buying those, but it all started with the Mega sampler. The shipping was also very fast.
If you're looking to expand your coffee horizons and have an espresso pod machine, you'll almost certainly find some new favorites in here.
